Delve into the stories of those who answered the call to serve with the Anzac Memorial's Senior Historian and Curator Brad Manera.
Embedded in the floor of the Hall of Service is a ring displaying 100 battlefields or sites of military significance. They tell the story of NSW service personnel who have fought, sweated and bled beyond our shores between 1863 and 2018.
Learn why these soils represent service in Queen Victoria's name, the contribution men and women from NSW made in the Great War and the Australian sailors, soldiers and aviators who have since faced deadly conflict and navigated situations that have avoided hostilities in some of the most tense and tragic situations.
Find out why some of the receptacles remain poignantly empty.
Gain a deeper insight into why the rich earth in the floor of the Anzac Memorial will always remember the sacrifices made by Australian service men and women.
The Meeting point will be in the Hall of Service, access is via the Liverpool Street entrance. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start time of 11:30am.
