Feel like an island princess for a day!In this course you will learn an 'aparima himene style choreography- 'aparima means mimic of the hands and himene means song or lyric. David Carment discusses the adventurous and dangerous flight of 'Waltzing Matilda'- a converted Halifax bomber that reached Sydney from Britain in June 1946. On board were men- women and children who all wished to travel to Australia as quickly as possible at a time when commercial transportation links for civilians were almost non-existent. Our wax carving masterclass will introduce you to the jewellery making technique and a glimpse into the process of 'lost wax casting'.In this course- you will learn to carve two wax rings and have them cast professionally.
