Pickleball on Tuesdays and Fridays 2020
Perry Park Recreation Centre will be running casual Pickleball weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays.Pickleball is a low-impact fun game that's easy to learn and suitable for all ages. It is a combination of tennis- ping-pong and badminton that is played on a court about the size of a badminton court. It is played with a paddle and perforated ball.Pickleball is a great way to improve your fitness. Playing the sport will get you moving and make you feel great in the process.Come by yourself or bring a friend- everyone will share the courts when they play.For more information about the centre- please visit our website.Please note that no injury insurance will be provided.Participants play at their own risk. If you have any concerns about participating in the program- please speak with you medical professional. Beginners improv class 2020
Release your inner-whatever you want and do it all in a cosy environment- creating a core ensemble.We work with the basics of Viola Spolin's concepts to get comfortable with the group mind. This class is great for people new to improv or improvisers and actors who want to break habits and get back to simple- basic fun.The ITS curriculum is progressive. Level one focuses on simple creativity and group mind- level two works on creating scenes through strong character choices and relationships- level three takes your scenework and combines it with stagecraft techniques (and is the first level to have a grad show performance)- level four elevates your two person scenes and culminates in the longform format La Ronde- level five is a complete performance in the ITS iteration of The Harold- level six uses all previous levels- works on different longform styles- and explores formats and ways of playing.Improv Theatre Sydney is a registered COVID Safe business. Walking basketball program 2020
Walking Basketball is a low-impact- social and fun way to improve the levels of physical activity for inactive and slightly active people- including those recovering from injury.The program provides optimal health benefits to all who participate- including those who might be intimidated by the pace and impact of a traditional basketball game but love the slower- more social version of Walking Basketball. Session are 60 minutes and will involve a warm up- skill based drills and 'game play'.
