An unforgettable evening of inspiration, courage and hope.
Join us for the 2025 Sydney Peace Prize Award Ceremony and Lecture, as we honour our recipient, Judge Navi Pillay — renowned international jurist and former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
For decades, Judge Pillay has stood fearlessly on the frontlines of justice — from the Rwandan genocide tribunals to the struggle against apartheid in South Africa, from advancing women’s rights worldwide to challenging impunity for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Her voice has shaped international law and inspired movements for human dignity across the globe. Learn more about our recipient here.
This year’s Sydney Town Hall stage will come alive with Judge Pillay in conversation with a distinguished panel, including Chris Sidoti, leading human rights law expert and former Australian Human Rights Commissioner, alongside other eminent voices soon to be announced. Guiding the discussion will be Nour Haydar, senior producer at The Guardian.
When: Thu, 6 Nov, 6:30pm - 8pm AEDT
Where: Sydney Town Hall
Who: This event is for everyone — from students and emerging changemakers to seasoned advocates and community leaders — anyone who believes in peace with justice and wants to be inspired by voices of courage.
