Sydney's leading independent Art School, Art Est, have launched a permanent online art program so people nationwide can learn from award-winning artists like Ashley Frost, Julia Flanagan and Rachel Fairfax.
The online program starts 7 February and will include a range of 4-week and 6-week courses for kids, teens and adults.
Art Est uses a sophisticated camera set-up so students can see the tutor's handwork and technique up close, and each class will have a dedicated online platform for sharing artwork and resources.
For kids and teens, there are speciality courses in painting and drawing or cartooning, and discovery-style courses that introduce a different art form or technique each week.
For adults, beginners can learn watercolour painting, creative journaling or drawing the human anatomy while those with more experience can try a mentorship program, where you can work on your own project under tutor guidance.
To participate in an online class, all you need is a computer or laptop, a mobile phone (to upload photos), a stable internet connection and some basic art materials.
