Artisans in the Gardens exhibition will celebrate it's 21st anniversary this October. The exhibition will bring a diverse selection of Australia's established and emerging stars, to Lion Gate Lodge
Artisans in the Gardens is celebrating it's 21st Anniversary exhibition in October 2022. Since launching in 2000 with just four exhibitors in one small room, the prestigious exhibition has evolved into a sophisticated showcase featuring more than 3,000 works across a wide range of mediums. The 2022 exhibition will highlight 21 Artists from the previous 20 exhibitions, as well as some fresh new faces. Their works include sculpture, hand-blown glass, ceramics, photography, embroidery, weaving, textiles and jewellery.
Celebrate the 21st anniversary at _Artisans in the Gardens _Opening Night on Friday 28th October. Shop for the amazing artwork at the exhibition before the public whilst sipping on wine and enjoying delicious canapés.
All items in the exhibition are for sale with proceeds going to the artists and to assisting Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens in supporting horticulture, conservation, scientific research and educational programs within your Botanic Gardens.
Food with Friends Café
During the exhibition, you can visit the volunteer-runexhibition pop-up café at Lion Gate Lodge. Surrounded by beautiful artwork you can sit back and indulge yourself in fresh coffee, sandwiches and homemade treats.
All proceeds from the café will benefit our continued support of the Botanic Gardens. Find more information about the café here.
Meet the Curator Libby Wright
Would you like to know more about your favorite artist, artwork or Artisans in the Gardens exhibition selection in general? This is your chance! Artisans Curator Libby Wright will be hosting two Tea & Tour experiences during the exhibition, Monday 31 October and Wednesday 2 November. Both experiences include catering.
Artisans High Tea Experience
If you love a stunning high tea experience, look no further than Artisans Spring Walk High Tea. Immerse yourself in the iconic blooming paradise that is the Royal Botanic Gardens Spring Walk and enjoy a carefully curated menu of finger sandwiches, decadent sweets, and classic scones with jam and cream.

Artisans in the Garden's workshops are all about clay this year!
Araceli Adams who is well known for her fun handmade functional art ceramics that beautifully portray Australia's rich biodiversity will be teaching how to paint on clay. Attendees get to be creative and paint a Swimming Mangrove crab. Find out more.
Isabella Edwards' dreamy artwork focuses on memory and place, centering on the idea of a place being a vessel for our experience and in turn our memories. During her workshop, attendees experiment with various techniques, brushes, mediums, and processes while also creating their favorite places and memories. Find out more.
