EMC, Lazydaze and the Australian National Maritime Museum are excited to present Audamus - an exclusive alfresco event hosted on the HMAS Vampire.

One of the first all-welded ships built in Australia, HMAS Vampire was constructed at Cockatoo Island Dockyard in the 1950s and today features as a permanent exhibition at the Maritime Museum. The name Audamus comes from the ship's motto (Latin meaning: 'Let us be daring').

A unique sound and culinary experience, Audamus will be held on the helicopter landing pad of the HMAS Vampire set against a stunning Barangaroo backdrop. The relaxed and intimate helipad picnic juxtaposes the naval setting. A line-up of well-loved NSW artists will perform live ambient/downtempo/electronica accompanied by the food and drinks specially curated by George Woodyard of Sydney small bar BART Jr.

Ticket price includes entertainment, sunset arrival drink and a gourmet picnic including food and two glasses of paired natural wine. (Non-alcoholic options available).

What to expect...

  • Warm and intimate vibe with cosy, relaxed 'pods' of four, seated on Turkish rugs with comfortable ottomans and cushions

  • Refreshing sunset arrival drink thanks to 78 Degrees gin through Adelaide Hills Distillery (Non-alcoholic beverage options available)

  • Dinner hampers for each pod with a delicious tasting menu curated by George Woodyard of Sydney small bar BART Jr., paired with two glasses of natural wine. (Non-alcoholic beverage options available). Additional drinks can be purchased on the night.

  • An exciting lineup of respected tastemakers to soundtrack the evening curated by Lazydaze; leading Australian DJ Simon Caldwell, internationally acclaimed Adi Toohey and local favourite Marley Sherman of revered Sydney collective S.A.S.H.

  • Sound powered by the stunning state-of-the-art Void Acoustic sound system thanks to Buzz Speaker Hire. Void Acoustics has a global reputation for PAs that make it possible to hear, feel and connect through unforgettable, crystal clear sound.

  • Food and drinks will be wait service so guests can tune out while enjoying great music and food, and good times with friends with Sydney's beautiful harbour as the backdrop!
