From enchanted rainforests to the deep sea, from snow-capped peaks to the underside of icebergs, from the spawning of a Jewel Anemone to the shining eyes of a Blue-banded Bee, the 2020 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition takes us on a breathtaking journey through the natural world of our region.

Go deeper in this stunning exhibition of over 100 large format images showcasing captivating animal behaviour, awe-inspiring landscapes and the investigation of humankind's impact on the ecosystem.

Explore the techniques of professional, emerging and junior photographers - including celebrated up-and-comer Robert Irwin - as they capture spectacular moments in time.

Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year 2020 is produced by the South Australian Museum and presented in partnership with the Australian Museum.

The Australian Museum is Covid safe

General admission is not timed and visitor calculations have been made for each area of the Australian Museum, meeting the 4sqm regulations. Covid-19 marshals will ensure limits are not exceeded in gallery and exhibition spaces.
