I think you all know Dan Barnett + George Washingmachine. But perhaps not this side of them - The Blues Point Vocal Group. Along with Lorraine Silk, Lauren Dawes and award winning bassist Brendan Clarke they mix amazing jazz vocal harmony with a walking bass and loads of humour! A bit different, but totally amazing!
The repertoire ranges from jazz standards by Irving Berlin and Gershwin through to the hits of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Queen and Adele that have been arranged specially for the group by some of Australia's top arrangers.
The group has performed at Jazz festivals all around Australia. Including Festival of Voices TAS, Brisbane Vocal Jazz festival, Manly Jazz festival and to 100,000 people at Jazz in the Domain. This time perhaps a bit smaller but a great way to start the New Year.
Tuesday January 30th 7:00PM at the Royal Oak Hotel
36 College St, Balmain
Tickets are $30 through Trybooking
