Modern and contemporary art frequently bypass traditional creative practices in favor of experimentation. This show, covering the 1960s and beyond, shows a number of works from the museum's collection—including artists such as Pier Paolo Calzolari, Jannis Kounellis, Mario Merz and Gilberto Zarrio that were part of the Arte Povera movement—that exemplify this direction of breaking away from the studio.
