National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
Join us for this evening onsite at Caroma on Collins over a light supper as we look to opportunities as corporations and individuals to 'Be Brave & Make Change' this National Reconciliation week.
This evening will be hosted by:
Ray Martin - AM. Award winning Australian journalist & television personality.
Life from an indigenous perspective holds significance in part because of his own indigenous heritage - in the early 1990s he discovered his great, great grandmother was a Kamilaroi from outside Gunnedah.
We will also be joined by:
Ken and Pam Duncan - Ken is Australia's most renowned world leader in landscape & wildlife photography.
Ken and Pam are the Founders of the Walk A While foundation.
'People often tend to look to government to bring about unity and reconciliation, but the reality is we can all make a difference. Our vision is for all citizens of our nation to truly walk a while together in this beautiful land we call home.'
Jarred Anderson Tjungala - Jarred was born in Papunya and is a Luritja Pintupi man.
Currently Jarred is employed at Mutitjulu (Uluru / Yulara) with the Remote Jobs and Communities Program (RJCP),which is part of the which is part of the Australian Government's commitment to the Closing the Gap strategy agreed in 2008 by the Council of Australian Governments.
