Celebrate Gungahlin: Young Voices features artworks and documentation from the 2024 Celebrate Gungahlin Festival. Local artists Megan Daley and Pinal Maniar worked with children and their families to create masks, banners and props for the inaugural festival parade.
The exhibition features documentation of the process and the parade, as well as highlights from Our Town: A Celebrate Gungahlin Community Exhibition.
Our Town featured artworks from over 100 young people who live, work or play in the Gungahlin region - sharing their perspectives on the past, present and future of their town and presenting a vibrant and diverse portrait of the local community.
Gungahlin has the youngest demographic of any region in the ACT, and these projects helped to ensure that young voices were included in the Celebrate Gungahlin Festival - the region's largest community festival.
This project is supported by the Regional Arts Fund.
