Dendy Newtown is thrilled to announce a special new program entitled CELLULOID DREAMS, which celebrates the 'reel' celluloid film experience. Our programmers have sourced the original 35mm prints of seven classic films from the likes of Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, Stanley Kubrick, and more.
The special 35mm program kicks off on April 26 with our screening of Scorsese's gangster masterpiece Goodfellas and concludes on December 6 with a 50th-anniversary screening of Andrei Tarkovsky's sci-fi classic Solaris.
The program also includes Stone's Natural Born Killers (June 7), Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon (July 19), John Landis' The Blues Brothers (August 30), Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation (September 27), and a special Halloween screening of Kubrick's The Shining.
