This Mardi Gras weekend, why not Head to Surry Hills for an indoor poetry picnic at the Sydney Brewery Surry Hills.
Colouring in the Body Electric is a celebration of sexuality, the body, and the self. It is a special poetry event which references themes from I Sing the Body Electric by Walt Whitman, 1855.
We welcome poetry that explores the subject of the body as a whole and in its parts, and the interconnectedness of body and soul.
Poet, performer, satirist and singer Tug Dumbly, is the event's MC. Open mic registrations are welcome. Interested poets are encouraged to register to ensure a position. Email expressions of interest to: mial@poetrysydney.org
