Writer and City of Adelaide resident, Heather Nimmo, leads an exploratory walk (approx. 3 km) around the south-east corner of the city: Kaurna, past, present and future, and the land; Janet Hay and what became St Andrew's Hospital; Osmond Gilles and St John's Anglican church and school; migration patterns in Ada Street; Hutt Street shop and cafe, past and present; the Women's Christian Temperance Union and votes for women; what was The Bakehouse Theatre, and before that The Red Shed; Seven Stars Hotel; State heritage-listed (by a tenant) Manitoba and the South Australia Housing Trust; industries past and present-the Box Factory and Southcott Pty Ltd (established in 1886).
