The City of Sydney has released three grants programs to assist the local government area recovery. Pivot your business, revitalise our city centre and support the community.

  • CBD activation grants encourages collaborations between business and creatives to activate space in the public domain and vacant corporate locations with live music and cultural programming to enliven our city centre, inspire visitors to safely return and help revitalise the economy.

  • Cultural sector innovation grants will support the development of innovative operating models, programs and collaborations

  • Community services grants for organisations that provide food, digital assistance and programs to support vulnerable community groups, temporary visa holders, social housing residents, people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

The webinar will consist of two parts:

  • General briefing session, an introduction to the priorities, eligibility and requirements

  • Follow up sessions, based on grant type.

Please select your preferred grant follow up session when you register. You will not be bound to this one area, as links will be posted in the webinar. You can apply for more than one session, they will be run concurrently, consider inviting a colleague to attend.

Need help finding a collaborator?

The City is working with Collabosaurus, a marketing tool that connects brands, businesses and creatives together. Follow the easy steps, watch the tutorial and upload your details to find a collaboration partner. Once you've found a collaboration partner you can apply for a City of Sydney grant together.

Additional support is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants and people with disability. To access this support, call 02 9265 9333 or email communitygrants@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

We are committed to exploring ways in which we can enhance the economic prosperity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations through our Grants Program.
