When Saint-Saëns finished his Third Symphony, he knew it was his masterpiece: 'What I have here accomplished, I will never achieve again.'

Imposing words for any conductor to wrestle with.

But with the prodigious Australian Dane Lam holding the baton, the French composer's legacy is in deft hands.

Better known as the Organ Symphony for its unusual - yet spectacular - use of the instrument, it seems only fitting we hear it on one of the largest organs of its kind in the world.
