Festival of Horsepower is a month-long program packed full of adrenaline and excitement in the City of Ipswich.
Taking place in June, the annual festival includes a number of Australia's signature racing and motorsport events.
If you are into horse racing the TAB Ipswich Cup at the Ipswich Turf Club is Australia's largest regional race day and a highlight in the Queensland Winter Racing Carnival calendar. Or you can bring the whole family along to the Channel 7 Family Race Day.
If motorsport is more your style, there is plenty of action at Willowbank Raceway. The Gulf Western Oil Winternationals is the largest championship drag racing event held outside of North America and is the final round of the national 400 Thunder season for the championships. From the amazing flame-throwing 500km/h Top Fuelers through to Junior Dragsters, more than 500 cars and motorcycles from all over the country expected to be on track over four big days of racing.
Over at Queensland Raceway, two Days of Thunder celebrates the Big Bangers of the motorsport world, both old and new, this year with Porsche Motorsport as the feature.
The month-long Festival of Horsepower program also features plenty of weekend action at the Ipswich Kart Club, social events, and more.
