A Game Themed Poetry Slam.

As with all their poetry slams, competitors will have two minutes to dazzle the crowd with their original spoken word poetry. The twist? For one night only, all competitors must tie their poem into the theme of the games.

It's up to the poets how they choose to work with the theme. The options are endless: board games, video games, card games, sports, arcade games, playground games, mind games and so on. The link to the theme can be as tenuous, as creative, or as obvious as the poet chooses, just as long as it's there.

Prizes for the three highest-scoring poets will be up for grabs, and maybe even a few for lucky audience members. Slams are always judged by five randomly selected audience members, which makes it even more interesting.

Standard slam rules apply. Two-minute time limit, no props or costumes, and all poems must be the original work of the performer.
