Learn the process of creating a two-dimensional copper foil (often known as Tiffany style) glass light catcher.
You will create your own light catcher from start to finish using one of our designs as a guide. After learning about the different types of window glass; transparent, opaque, textured or clear, and a huge range of colours, you will learn to transfer your pattern onto the glass, cut it out, and refine the shapes. Extra dimension can be added using bevels that will that will spread a rainbow around any room.
We will teach you to apply copper foil to each of your glass pieces, you will then be guided to solder and finish your piece with patinas.
A delicious lunch will be provided created from all local organic produce and able to cater for any dietary requirements you may have. They also provide you with a divine afternoon treat and tea and coffee facilities are available throughout the course.
Leadlight By Ettore has over 40 years experience in all forms of Glass Arts and are proud to be a multi-generational family business, in the Macedon Ranges. Ettore believes in the importance of preserving the rare trade of Leadlighting as well as teaching a broader range of glass arts to over 70 students a week in Kyneton.
