Horizons brings together six emerging women artists from the National Art School and Sydney College of the Arts, each exploring identity, memory, and the complexities of lived experience through deeply personal and materially rich practices.
Through painting, sculpture, print, and textile-based media, the artists in Horizons engage with themes of femininity, domesticity, autonomy, and cultural identity. Their works interrogate the tension between public and private spheres, the interplay of vulnerability and resilience, and the weight of personal and collective histories. Using diverse materials and methods, they reframe everyday rituals, challenge perceptions, and examine the fluidity of self-definition.
