This workshop is part of the FOUNDATIONS dance & knowledge workshop series at Crossover Dance Studio.

With the support of the City of Sydney, these workshops will be offered for the first time for only $30 with limited spots available.

The FOUNDATIONS workshop series aims to facilitate students' knowledge of the history, culture and community aspect of a dance style in addition to the teaching of dance technique and foundation. These workshops will be taught over a 3-hour dance and knowledge workshop that includes time for Q&A, video viewing and other materials.

Overview

Intro to hip hop will share knowledge about the history, culture, and foundations of hip hop dance in a theoretical and practical workshop. This deeper dive into hip hop as a dance style and culture will guide students towards establishing their basics, as well as introduce them to the concept of freestyling within the style. Anyone interested in learning or improving their hip hop foundations, including beginners or those new to the style, is welcome to join!
