Taught by @SydneyTutting
Overview
Tutting is a dance style that is based on creating different shapes, lines, angles & patterns, originally inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphics. The amount of things that can be created using this style is only limited by one's imagination and creativity, and Tutting today draws inspiration from many different sources and with many different approaches.
This workshop aims to teach the foundational tools and concepts of Tutting to allow students to establish their basics and work towards freestyle and creative use of the style. This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning or improving their Tutting, including beginners or those new to the style.
Workshop content
In addition to learning about the history and theoretical components of Tutting, the class will also cover three different approaches to the style from three members of Sydney Tutting. Please note workshop content can be subject to change.
Focus 1: Basic shapes and drills
The form section will help you understand basics and how to take your tutting from beginner to intermediate by the use of shapes.
Focus 2: Routine
A tutting routine based on his love of martial arts movies.
Focus 3: Concepts
