The technique of fine art etching has been part of art history for over 5 centuries.
Artists, over this time, have embraced etching as part of their practice and have used its subtlety and directness to enhance and give a unique addition to their visual language.
In this workshop you will learn these traditional techniques to create an original print of your own. Beginning with the theory of etching and plate preparation to the transfer of your drawing onto the plate you will be guided through all the best practices and shown the best use of your materials and tools at your disposal.
This workshop provides a valuable insight into the world of fine art etching and its endless possibilities and how you can apply this wonderful practice to your own creativity. Cost includes basic materials. Suitable for students of all levels.
