Join us for a women's only intensive workshop exploring life drawing and the female form.
Guided by university lecturer and award-winning artist Yvonne East, you will explore the fundamentals of life drawing including proportion, line, tone, and gestural mark making to develop your individual approach to drawing the human figure.
Quality materials are provided, all you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm to know more about the representation of women.
Yvonne East's work has been exhibited in many art prizes across Australia including the Archibald, Doug Moran, and Dobell Drawing prizes. Recently acquired into the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, notable awards include the 2015 AGNSW Robert Le Gay Brereton Prize, 2014 Tim Olsen Drawing Prize and the 2012 Country Arts SA Breaking Ground Award.
In addition to her studio work, Yvonne lectures in life drawing, drawing and painting at the University of New South Wales. She has participated in several research and exchange projects, and has been Artist-in-Residence for a number of secondary schools, councils and state governments producing large scale murals, and was a presenter and producer for a community radio arts show for 90.1 Happy FM.
