The Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts is proud to be the home of the Tom Keneally Centre, which holds the research and private collection of the world-renowned author. The centre is devoted to Australian literature, history and social change. This special community space is run by a team of passionate volunteers, this group not only care for the books, but they also share knowledge with visitors and enable the preservation of this important collection.

For Rare Books Week, Winsome Allen, our president, will welcome 35 guests to the centre and personally introduce this unique and personal collection of books.

We are aware that spaces for this event are limited, therefore, to avoid disappointment we will extend the usual open days of the Tom Keneally Centre for Rare Book Week. During this time, our team of friendly volunteers will be excited to answer any questions and show visitors the collection.
