Keyboard Fantasies - The Beverly Glenn-Copeland Story documentary was made by LUCA, an independent production company based in London, led by filmmaker Posy Dixon. It was LUCA's first feature appearing on the 2020 international festival circuit. The official music video for Ever New was also produced by LUCA and performed by Glenn & Indigo Rising, a recently formed ensemble to play the music of Glenn Copeland's Keyboard Fantasies album live for the first time since its composition.
The Beverly Glenn-Copeland story takes you on a journey of the diverse work and life of this legendary singer, composer and transgender activist. Glenn was born into a musical family and grew up listening to his father playing European classical piano for hours. His mother was also musical and played the piano too and could play just about everything. Glenn moved from his home-town of Philadelphia to study classical music at McGill University, Montreal in 1961 (focussing on the European song repertoire).
