Gallery 1 | Cancelled: a grad design exhibition presented by Gaffa Gallery
'Many design graduates will not have the opportunity at the end of year to showcase their final design projects in an exhibition setting as a result of COVID-19 so, Gaffa Gallery will be curating a Design dedicated Grad Show for the last round of 2020 exhibitions. CANCELLED will include grad students from a range of design faculties & institutions so they can have a full exhibition experience and be proud to show their final work for the public to see.'
Gallery 2 | URNS of 2020: Rising from the Ashes curated by Liz Amalfi
'Urns of 2020 brings together 30 urns, 30 artists and 30 charities. Each artist was given a plain white cremation urn and asked to create a piece of art that commemorates what 'Rising from the Ashes' means to them. Each artist will share their message of hope, inspiration and creativity on their urn.
The exhibition is the brainchild of Liz Amalfi, from Ionica, a family-run wholesale company that imports coffins from Italy since 1990. During a COVID clean-up in their warehouse Liz discovered some funeral urns her late father had imported from Italy many years ago that had never been used.'
Gallery 3 | Architecture of Perception by Charné Greyling, Lucy Thurston & Bronte Cormican-Jones
'Architecture of Perception presents works by three emerging Sydney artists. In this exhibition, they Investigate the frameworks through which we see and understand the world - the shifting dialogues between physical infrastructures and our internal structures of perception. Through painted and sculptural works, Charné Greyling, Lucy Thurston and Bronte Cormican-Jones ask how we construct, develop, renovate or demolish the architectures of the mind to form our changing realities.'
Gallery 4 | _Fashion is a Statement_by Irene Harmsworth
'In my series of paintings, drawings and prints I have created artwork/compositions that represent aspects of fashion in our lives in various art media formats, such as oil paintings, drawings, prints that reflect my ideas on fashion.'
