End Notes is a sweeping jazz collective of musicians, producers, vocalists and MCs that has grown out of a series of residencies over the last 4 years in various landmark Sydney venues and now makes its debut at the Establishment.
Led by bass player Edward Lyons, the band in its various forms places an emphasis on high energy group improvisation whether it be performs contemporary reinterpretations of Funk, Afrobeat, Jazz and Latin classics and shines a light on the lesser known artists, labels and tunes. Over 60 shows and over 120 featured local musicians, vocalists and DJs later, the group has entrenched itself as a Sydney institution.
Featuring cult MC Apollo Fontaine, expect some easy jazz hip hop vibes.
