It's time to fire up the fun! The Year of the Dragon is here to wish you good luck, honour and success. Reunite with family and friends on this auspicious occasion and Darling Harbour is celebrating with 3 massive weeks of food, fun and entertainment.
Visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship for lion dances, tea celebrations, craft workshops, zodiac readings and more, and continue your journey to Cockle Bay for exhilirating jet pack shows and dragon boat races. It wouldn't be a celebration without food, so be sure to round up your loved ones for a cozy dinner or bustling banquet. There are over 150 places to eat and drink in Darling Harbour, including authentic Asian eats in Darling Square and Darling Quarter.
The exciting program includes:
Dragon Boat Races - Witness three thrilling days of dragon boat races and entertainment on Cockle Bay, from Friday Feb 16 - Sunday Feb 18
Jet Pack Shows - Catch spectacular performances on Cockle Bay on Saturday Feb 10 & 24
Lion Dances - Catch traditional Lion Dances on Saturday Feb 10 & Feb 17
Chinese Garden - Enjoy lion dances, zodiac readings, dragon puppet making for the kids, and dragon art painting for the adults! The garden is also opening up for one night only for a one-of-a-kind Twilight Garden Party.
Lunar New Year Photography Competition - Capture the Year of the Dragon through the magic of photography, for your chance to have your work on display in the Chinese Garden and win a package valued at over $750. Closes January 28.
