On Friday 26 August, the MCA will be presenting special screenings of 'Made in Birmingham/Made in Sydney' to view two new commissioned artworks by Fijian-Australian artist Salote Tawale and British-Pakistani artist Osman Yousefzada.
Following the screening, artist Salote Tawale will be in conversation with Meg Robson, Associate Curator, Exhibitions.
Made in Birmingham/Made in Sydney is a ground-breaking digital project between the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in Sydney and Ikon in Birmingham, UK. It brings together two new commissioned artworks by Fijian-Australian artist Salote Tawale and British-Pakistani artist Osman Yousefzada that explore questions of identity and belonging.
