Experience a night like no other in this immersive, illuminated and cultural event with life-size diprotodons by award-winning design-led theatre masterminds Dead Puppet Society.
Following their migratory route down river to their seasonal feeding grounds, three ancient diprotodons have become lost in the city and have found their way to the Australian National Botanic Gardens. A rare opportunity to come face to face with these ancient giants as they stop to feed and interact with passers-by, as you journey through the Gardens at night, and to reflect on how humans have altered the creatures and landscape we share this island with.
Enjoy a light supper of damper-style roll with pumpkin soup by Pollen café. Light supper is an optional add-on with ticket purchases only. Hot and cold beverages will be available to purchase from Pollen café on the night.
Supported by the ACT Government, Friends of the ANBG, and the Ovolo Nishi.
Held during NAIDOC Week in celebration and recognition of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Bookings essential as numbers are limited.
