This exhibition explores future scenarios for north-west Melbourne through a network of green-blue infrastructures. While contributing to an improved urban climate, a network of 'cooling devices' will facilitate continuous and protected pedestrian circulation through the public realm.
The blueprint project integrates multi-scalar propositions of landscape-design, architecture and urbanism into new urban ecologies within the extant built fabric. Design interventions occupy and connect existing fragmented, green space.
The exhibit demonstrates how architecture and landscape approaches can reconnect vegetal, water and human systems while enhancing accessibility, open spaces, water and air quality, health and well-being.
