The Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival returns to Federation Square in February 2020.
The festival honours the tradition of the Obon, a festival to give thanks to one's ancestors, which includes the Bon Dance.
There will be arts and crafts, as well as traditional acts such as Taiko drumming and Okinawan folk music. There will be best dressed awards, and a raffle of traditional festival games such as yo-yo and toy-fishing, with economy tickets to Tokyo on offer.
