The theremin is magically played without touch. Electro-magnetism makes the signature sound of retro sci-fi and horror movie soundtracks. This show shares the wondrous and creepy sides of the theremin under the gothic guidance of the legend behind some of Australia's most eery bands.
Miles Brown is an internationally acclaimed theremin artist and composer who has performed everywhere from Play School to Spicks and Specks to the Sydney Opera House. This totally captivating one-man show weaves the strange science and unusual history of the theremin with Brown's intriguing and hilarious personal story of learning to master this fiendishly difficult instrument, all interspersed with his beautiful and unearthly electronic music.
He'll be sharing curiosity and skirting the edges of the known and unknown, prepare yourself for an exploration of fantastic phenomena, ancient electricity and other mysteries of the ether.
