Mirage' an exhibition by Tom Ling will run from 1 August to 31 August at the Hither & Yon cellar door in Willunga as part of SALA. Tom's exhibition is an ongoing photographic exploration of coastal communities that gather along jetties, rocks, and beaches during the warmer months. Through the photographs Tom aims to document not only the physical presence of these spaces, but the emotional and cultural resonance they hold for those who temporarily inhabit them. The work invites viewers to reflect on how leisure, ritual, and identity are shaped by the landscape.
All images were made on black-and-white film over the past two years, then scanned and printed in large format.
