The Cervantes Institute of Sydney presents this hybrid virtual talk with specialists from Australia and Spain on sustainable buildings and naturalization of cities.
Speakers and projects presented:
Clara Eslava Cabanellas (speaker participating virtually from Spain) Founding partner of eslava y tejada arquitectos, a studio founded in 2005 based in Madrid. Clara Eslava Cabanellas's project '... a flor de plaster' on naturalization of cities was the winner in the Metropolitan Forest Contest, Madrid. Project: ... a flower of plaster The project intervention area is located in the southeast of the municipality of Madrid, a territory with great singularity, characterized by landscapes of austere beauty, an aesthetic that is currently perceived damaged or injured by the presence of landfills, the problem of irregular settlements, the impact of large infrastructures and discontinuity with the urban fabric. *
Michael Spackman Director, Registered Landscape Architect, FAILA Spackman Mossop Michaels, has over 20 years of project experience in Australia and abroad. Project to present 'Finding de Wild', showing the perspective of landscaping in urban environments in recent projects carried out in Australia.
The event will be moderated by the Spanish architect based in Australia Inés Benavente Molina and at the end of the activity we will give 10 minutes of questions and answers both for the virtual assistants who participate via zoom and for the face-to-face assistants who participate from the auditorium of the Instituto Cervantes from Sydney.
