This National Reconciliation Week, join the conversation with leaders of the NSW public sector on this years' Reconciliation Week theme, Be Brave. Make Change.
The Parliament of NSW and Reconciliation NSW will co-present a livestreamed panel discussion unpacking the Uluru Statement from the Heart. The panel will discuss the present situation in NSW against the goals of the reconciliation movement and dialogues of the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
The 2022 theme Be Brave. Make Change. is a challenge to all Australians to Be Brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for the benefit of all Australians.
Answering your questions, our expert panel (pictured above) includes:
Yvonne Weldon, City of Sydney Councillor who serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council
Geoff Scott, a Wiradjuri man with over 30 years public sector service in Aboriginal Affairs and leadership of the Uluru Dialogues
Natalie Walker, Greater Sydney Commission Social Commissioner and founder of Inside Policy and the inaugural CEO of Supply Nation
Joshua Gilbert, Indigenous co-chair of Reconciliation NSW, and a Woromi researcher and academic who sits on the boards for Indigenous Business Australia, KU Children's Services and the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office.
Registrations are now open to watch this event live online from 10 a.m. - 11a.m. on Tuesday, 31 May 2022. Registrations close at midnight, on 30 May 2022.
