Sydney Babylon is a state of mind, using Sydney as my starting point I have embarked on a visual feast of colour and abstraction.

I have used glimpses of the landscape as I travel from my Wisemans Ferry studio to Rozelle, I convert these glimpses into colour field landscape abstractions - the painting process is like jazz music - all improvisation.

The paintings evoke a sense of floating, as if the artist and viewer is swimming in colour. I'm using the magic of oil paint and glazes to transcribe a beatific sensual evocation of the landscapes I love.
