Renowned Global arts initiative Micro Galleries will project 45 artworks of resilience, hope and imagination from across the globe, focusing on unconventional public spaces in Jordan, Kenya, Nepal, Indonesia, Colombia and Peru.
From 11 - 13 December, Micro Galleries artists, through projection art festival Project / Forward: 2047, will prove that artists are vital in imaging a better world, and that not only will Covid not stop artists from creating, it's giving them the fuel to create the world we all want to see post-Covid.
There will be 2 screenings across 2 venues in Sydney:
Friday 11 from 8pm sundown in Matron Ruby Grant Park next to 107, Joynton Avenue Creative Centre.
Saturday 12 from 8 pm sundown, in Applebee Street, behind Tortuga St Peters.
With a focus on taking art to under-resourced communities, and supported by a further 6 screenings in USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Spain, Italy and Austria, this project aims to end 2020 on a more positive and hopeful note. By giving communities around the world a vision to work towards, artists can begin to help plan a better world post-Covid.
