The walk begins at the bus stop shelter (the former tram waiting shed) opposite Hunter Park on the Esplanade, Balmoral. It will take no more than two hours and involves a leisurely stroll along the beautiful Esplanade.

The focus is on people closely associated with the area's many historic places, beginning about 20,000 years ago and extending until recent times. Topics covered will include Aboriginal settlers, European explorers and pioneers, artists, swimmers, sailors, schoolteachers and students, picnickers, and theosophists.

Paid parking is available along the Esplanade and in nearby streets. There are bus services connecting Balmoral Beach with other parts of Sydney.

David Carment of the RAHS and Mosman Historical Society will guide the walk.

Participants should contact him if the weather looks uncertain. Phone details will be sent to ticket holders.
