From ancient trading routes to contemporary artistic expressions, this unique installation unveils a fascinating chapter in our shared history.

The Rainbow Serpent by Kyra-Kum-Sing

'The Rainbow Serpent is a dreamtime creation story of how all the lands, mountains, valleys and waterways in this country were originally formed. The Serpent travelled throughout the entire country creating the landscape and all living beings.

The gold colour woven throughout the Rainbow Serpent represents both my mother's Country (Bandjalan) and father's Country (Mitakoodi). The rainbow colours are the waterways and the black patterns represent the mountains and valleys.'
