Learn more about the Reshaped exhibition with artists Michelle Carr and Korina Konopka.
Carr and Konopka will discuss the ceramic works in their group exhibition. Join the artists at Incinerator Art Space as they explore their work, artistic processes and creative influences.
About the exhibition
Reshaped is a dynamic exhibition of contemporary ceramic works by emerging artists Korina Konopka and Michelle Carr, graduating from the Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts (Ceramics) Northern Beaches Tafe NSW.
Exhibiting this work for the first time, Korina reflects on her deep connection to natural environments, specifically the North Shore rock pools. Using an earthy colour pallet, she creates thrown and hand-built objects that emulate the essence of these rock pools.
Michelle explores grief, energy, and life cycles. Delicate geometric porcelain slip cast wall tile installations are arranged in circular patterns to suggest connections, growth, evolution, and change.
