This digital workshop offers starting points for building a character through practical activities and gives students the chance to engage with professional techniques to explore a performance.
During the workshop students will be introduced to:
some of the tools available to an actor when starting to explore a character,
the process of breaking down a script to discover character,
the elements of building a physical character and
the role of physicality and internal motivations for characterisation
Wed 7 April: Suitable for students in Years 8, 9, and 10 (ages 12-14)
Wed 14 April: Suitable for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 (ages 15-18).
