Are you searching for a dynamic and engaging activity for your teen during the upcoming school holidays? The Autumn Analogue Photography Workshop at Photo Access is tailored for kids aged 13 to 16, offering a unique opportunity to explore the world of analogue photography. Over three immersive days, participants will delve into the fundamentals of analogue photography, honing their technical skills while unleashing their creativity in a supportive environment.
Led by experienced tutor Eunie Kim, teens will learn the essentials of film and camera operation, gaining practical insights into the art of capturing images on film. Against the backdrop of the scenic Manuka Arts Centre and its surrounding park, they’ll embark on a guided photo walk, discovering the beauty of their surroundings through the lens of a camera.
The workshop’s highlight is the hands-on experience in the darkroom, where participants develop their films and create photograms under expert guidance. This aspect of the workshop presents a unique opportunity for teenagers to master a challenging and rewarding skill, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride in their artistic endeavours.
At the end of the workshop, parents have the opportunity to see their child’s work showcased in a special exhibition.
