To celebrate the opening of Café Segovia, artist Simon Macaulay will be displaying a series of paintings created during Melbourne's recent lockdown. The artworks will cover the main windows during the cafe's refit, when the newest incarnation of the classic laneway cafe will be revealed.
The paintings have been created on newsprint and range in sizes and subjects from front page 'exclusive' portraits to the artist's signature wave landscapes painted onto turbulent stock market reports.
