An exhibition celebrating the connection of siblings to nature, strengthened by shared interests and practices. The exhibition demonstrates artistic expression of indigenous flora using mosaics and recycled plant materials.
Pam Frederick's work consists of stylised representations of Australian native flora in mosaic form. A combination of wall hangings suitable for external and or internal display and utilitarian lazy-susans with accompanying matching cheese boards. The latter are hand crafted in native timbers for example, red gum, celery pine and silver wattle.
Joan Asmussen's work is contemporary, woven fibre art: vessels and sculptures using harvested and recycled garden plants and other recycled materials. Joan's work while exploring the textures, colours and shapes of nature show the use of a variety of plants such as kangaroo paw, palm inflorescence, casuarina, red hot poker and lomandra.
Open daily from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm in the Visitor Centre Gallery.
