Join author and literary lecturer Susannah Fullerton on a discussion of Victor Hugo.

Considered the greatest of all French poets, Victor Hugo also gained renown as a novelist and introduced the historical novel into France.

His huge historical work, Les Misérables, broke new ground in publishing history and has been of enormous influence on artists, musicians, politicians and other writers. It is the world's most filmed novel. Hugo was a trailblazer in many ways - learn more about his life, his exile, his loves and even his connection with school lunches in this illustrated talk.

Susannah Fullerton OAM is President of the Jane Austen Society of Australia. She is an author, tour guide and literary lecturer.
