Summer of STEM is a multi-day holiday program that provides teenagers who have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with an opportunity to engage in a variety of interactive workshops.
ECU hosts this event at its Joondalup and Bunbury** campuses during the summer break in January. The program aims to boost high school students' interest and participation in science, raise their awareness of STEM careers, and encourage them to continue their science studies onto senior school and University. ECU welcomes students aged 14+ from across Western Australia, to participate in fascinating science-based activities and workshops facilitated by a welcoming team of ECU scientists and current students.
time: 9:00 - 4:00 daily
Cost: $190 (JO) or $130 (SW)
*This is a non-residential program. The cost does not include lunch, accommodation or transport to and from the program. It may include some snacks throughout, so please let us know any dietary requirements.
**This year, the Bunbury program will focus on beach plastics and will include an excursion to the beach as well as a day of lab work.
