Tuscany is famous for the 'Super Tuscans' and their incredible production of wines from international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot mixed with local ones like Sangiovese. The longer you spend contemplating these wines, the better they get.
It's fitting that this region's undulating hills house some of Italy's best-known appellations, including Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, as well as Vernaccia di san Gimignano and Carmignano.
